Corporate social & environmental responsibility

Coffee that cares for the land, farmers, and every cherry.

At Tintico, CSR is not a separate chapter — it runs through our entire model. Agroforestry, zero waste, traceability, and fairer incomes: we are building a supply chain where every part of the cherry matters.

01

Agroforestry at the heart of our farms

We grow coffee in agroforestry systems: coffee trees thrive under shade trees, in symbiosis with the forest. This approach preserves biodiversity, enriches living soil, limits erosion, and makes plots more resilient to climate change. Less chemistry, more life — for richer, more sustainable specialty coffee.

02

Replanting trees, restoring the canopy

We are committed to replanting trees alongside our partner farmers: coffee trees, shade species, and native plants that rebuild the Colombian canopy. Every replanting strengthens carbon sequestration, protects watersheds, and brings shade back to the crops — a long-term investment in the land and the communities who depend on it.

03

Zero waste: the whole cherry, nothing lost

Specialty coffee beans

The conventional supply chain discards or burns much of the cherry. We use the entire coffee cherry: bean, cascara, and mucilage all go into our tablets. Nothing is wasted — each component brings flavor, fiber, and added value.

This whole-cherry model is what allows us to triple the income of our partner farmers: instead of selling only the bean, they valorize their entire harvest.

Three components, one whole cherry

The bean

Heart of the tablet: a solid, intense espresso equivalent to a cup of coffee.

Cascara

Cherry skin: fiber, antioxidants, and flavors the conventional chain leaves behind.

Mucilage

Sweet pulp valorized in our recipes — instead of being dumped into rivers.

04

Tripled income for coffee farmers

When you valorize the bean, cascara, and mucilage, the harvest becomes multiple revenue streams. Our partners no longer depend on a single market — they capture the value that the traditional supply chain left on the ground.

Long-term contracts, fair prices, and a relationship built on trust: for us, CSR is also measured in euros in producers' pockets.

05

Less pollution through mucilage valorization

Mucilage — the sweet pulp surrounding the bean — is often dumped into rivers during coffee washing, polluting water and soil. We recover it and integrate it into our recipes. Less waste upstream, less pollution downstream, more value for farmers: a virtuous loop from field to tablet.

06

Traceable coffee, from plot to tablet

Every lot is traceable: we know the origin, the farmers, and the farming practices behind our coffees. Fairtrade certified, grown in Colombia in direct partnership with passionate coffee growers — you know exactly what you consume and who benefits.

Our additional commitments

Living soil

Agroecology without synthetic chemicals: healthy cultivated ecosystems that nourish the plant and your vitality.

Biodiversity

Mixed canopy, preserved wildlife and flora: coffee grows in harmony with the forest, not against it.

Long-term partnerships

Trust-based relationships across multiple harvests, technical support, and transparent sharing of the value created.

Fairtrade

Certified coffees, guaranteed minimum price, and community development premium for our producers.

Consuming differently is possible

Every Tintico tablet carries these commitments. Taste a coffee that respects the land, the farmers, and the whole cherry.
