Coffee in tablet form

For 500 years, coffee has been drunk. Tintico asks another question: what if it could be eaten? The whole cherry, a pocket format, born in Colombia.

Coffee in tablet form

For centuries, coffee has been enjoyed in a cup. Chocolate found the path to a solid tablet earlier. At Tintico, we take the same road — rethinking not only the format, but what we use of the cherry.

We asked why, for 500 years, coffee has always been drunk the same way. Then an idea: what if it could be eaten?

The same path as chocolate

Modern coffee is first a drink: roast, grind, brew, cup. Powerful and ritualised, it still depends on a gesture, a machine, waiting time.

Chocolate crossed a decisive step by becoming solid, portioned and portable. That conversion — from liquid ritual to something you bite — is what Tintico applies to coffee.

We are not here to replace your morning cup at home. We are here to give coffee a second life: mobile, immediate, indulgent — wherever a machine isn't possible.

Using the whole coffee cherry

In the classic supply chain, only the bean is valued. Pulp, mucilage and cascara — the fruit skin — are often lost or underused after harvest.

Tintico tablets use the whole fruit: roasted bean, cascara and mucilage. One bite concentrates the most complete expression of the cherry. Fuller taste, no wasted fruit.

Why cocoa butter

To solidify coffee without masking it, Tintico uses cocoa butter. Naturally mild, fairly neutral on the palate, it is a melting matrix that doesn't crush the aromas.

The result: a tablet where you taste coffee first — its intensity, its complexity — carried by a melting texture. This is not a caffeinated chocolate bar. It is coffee, to crunch.

A tintico is already a story

In Colombia, a tintico is the small black coffee people share several times a day. The name already tells the gesture: simple, frequent, social.

Ours comes from partner growers, in agroforestry. Valuing the whole cherry is not only a taste choice: it is leverage for the people who grow it. Less waste at the source, a more complete product in your pocket.

From the whole cherry to a nomadic tablet: coffee enters a new era, fairer and more indulgent.

Like chocolate before it, coffee deserved its tablet. Today it is here — to crunch.
